Our organic vanilla beans are from Madagascar. The name Vanilla comes from the Spanish "vainilla", meaning "little pod". Vanilla is a seed bean of a tropical orchid. Being highly fragrant with an exotic aroma. Vanilla is known for reducing stress, being calming and as an aphrodisiac. Used extensively in baking, vanilla sugar is a wonderful way to use the vanilla beans, just add a vanilla bean to a jar of sugar for 3-4 weeks for the flavor to flow throughout. Then add to your baked goods. Another way to use vanilla beans is to make our "Vanilla Hot Oil " hair treatment located in our recipe section, for soft shiny hair.
